PBI Restorations Engaged by Johns Hopkins APL

World-Renowned Facility Chooses Local Restoration Firm

PBI Restorations of Hunt Valley, Maryland, announced the signing of a five-year agreement to provide restoration services for the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory in Howard County.

A full-service commercial disaster recovery firm, PBI has been retained by Johns Hopkins APL to provide remediation from potential large-scale damages including water, fire and mold, supporting the facilities management staff at the complex.

“We’re extremely gratified to have been chosen by this world-renowned facility, and to add Johns Hopkins APL to our roster of clients,” said Mike Popowski, President of PBI Restorations.  “This complex is known worldwide for its advanced technology, and the facilities and equipment require extreme sensitivity and careful handling, as do their security procedures.  The trust they’ve placed in PBI to support and protect their operations reflects very well on our dedicated team.”

Among the factors in the decision, Popowski said, was PBI's long history of servicing clients whose requirements and complexities far exceed industry standards. “When Every Minute Counts” is not a tag line," he continued.  "Our clients see that our team is just as committed as they are to minimizing the down time from a disaster."

PBI Restorations was founded nearly 30 years ago and specializes in commercial disaster recovery, operating from locations in Baltimore; Washington, DC; and Northern Virginia.
